Designed as a private retreat that seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings, the home combines architectural sophistication with a laid-back, holiday-inspired lifestyle. The brief centred on delivering a light-filled, open-plan home that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living, while maintaining privacy and thermal comfort in a coastal environment.

Design & Inspiration

Drawing from a chic Californian aesthetic with subtle 70s influences, the home’s design embraces warm autumnal tones, bold artwork, and tactile finishes. Spacious interiors are enhanced by floor-to-ceiling glazing, creating a strong visual connection to the surrounding nature reserve.

Key design features include:

• – Open-plan kitchen, dining, and sunken living areas
• – Expansive glazing to maximise natural light and ventilation
• – A cascading rooftop garden that integrates the home into its landscape
• – A focus on relaxed, easy living with seamless transitions to outdoor spaces

The result is a refined yet inviting home that delivers both visual appeal and functional performance.
