Alspec Teams Come Together for R U OK? Day 2026

Across Australia, Alspec teams came together to recognise R U OK? Day, taking the opportunity to connect with colleagues, share a meal and reinforce the importance of meaningful conversations in the workplace.

Held across branches nationwide, the day saw employees step away from their usual routines to spend time together, strengthen relationships and create space for open and supportive discussions.
While monthly catch-ups often focus on business performance, goals and priorities, R U OK? Day provided an opportunity to shift the focus towards personal wellbeing, encouraging team members to connect on a more human level and check in with one another.
Throughout the day, employees enjoyed BBQ gatherings, met with colleagues from across different areas of the business, and welcomed newer team members into conversations with long-standing employees. These moments reflect the strong sense of community that exists across the Alspec network and the value of fostering supportive workplace connections.
The events also highlighted the support services available through Alspec’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) partner, Acacia. Information resources were shared with employees to help raise awareness of the confidential wellbeing services available to team members and their families.
In support of the broader R U OK? Day initiative, branches displayed awareness materials and encouraged participation in fundraising activities, helping to further the organisation’s mission of inspiring and empowering people to meaningfully connect and support those around them.
R U OK? Day serves as an important reminder that a conversation could change a life. By taking the time to ask, listen and support one another, we can all play a part in creating stronger, more connected workplaces and communities.
At Alspec, we’re proud to support initiatives that encourage wellbeing, connection and a culture where people feel comfortable reaching out and checking in.
Ask. Listen. Encourage action. Check in.
